Sideswipe close up — Description
I haven't really uploaded any drawings lately, so I thought I'd toss this up. It's sort of a speed painting? I took about two hours on it in two seperate sittings.

So you're probably wondering why I love Sideswipe so much. I mean he had like four lines in G1.

I didn't even remember who he was to be honest. I could remember the main characters of course, Prime, Ironhide, Ratchet, Bumblebee, Wheeljack, Jazz and Prowl... and some of the somewhat less memorable characters like Cliffjumper and Brawn. But that was pretty much it. After the movie they stopped carrying transformers where I lived or I was too scarred to watch it or something. XD

Anyway, I've always kept my brother's transformers and I bought the movie when it came to DVD yadda yadda yadda.

About two years ago I had this crazy dream that I was dead. In order to pass into what I thought was heaven, I had to find my way out of this labyrinth made of books in a library. When I finally was able to get out, I realized it /wasn't/ heaven at all. I was dead, yes, but I'd passed into this quasi realm of reality. Apparently when you died that's where you went, then you maybe went to heaven after you died THERE.

I was really frightened because I was alone and I didn't know where my family was. I knew they were waiting for me, but I didn't know how to get to them.

So I see this red SUV sitting there about the same unnamed ghoulies start attacking me. I hop into said suv to try and get away, but there's no keys and it's a stick shift. I lament that I can't drive stick and the SUV starts TALKING TO ME. It's like, "Relax~ I'll drive myself. I'm an autobot, my name's sideswipe." And I knew he'd take me to my family. o____o;

I don't know WHY he was an SUV or why he was waiting for me or how I managed to even come up with a name for him of an autobot I didn't even conciously REMEMBER... but yeah. WTF? So I told my friend Eric who's a HUGE transformer nut and he told me who and what Sideswipe is.

Well, I think Sideswipe's pretty damn adorable and so I draw him lots. to me he's /my/ transformer I guess. SO yeah. :3

feel free to make an icon out of this if you like. maybe you can trim out some of the suck while you're at it. sorry it's tiny. :/
