Alien (1979) is an absolute classic, as a sci-fi movie and as a horror movie.Ellen Ripley is the embodiment of "There is no courage without fear".
Watching the movie, I always loved the duality of "flamethrower in one hand, cat box in the other".
I think it is perfect Yin-Yang symbolism : Ready to torch ennemies (Yang) but still compassionate enough to care about the cat (Yin).
In my opinion, we should all aspire to face adversity, aggressively if needed, while staying compassionate enough to care about others.
I just love those philosophical lessons in movies, so this is my humble tribute.
