Description
I uh… I know absolutely jack about Wernhardt Hans Spaenhauer. He was born in the Swiss village of Muttenz in May 1651 (some genealogy websites say his birthday was June 15, but this was actually the date of his baptism), the sixth child and only son of Hans Spaenhauer and Elsbeth Süss. This Werner married Barbara Seiler on June 23, 1679, and the couple had the following children: Katherina (born October 31, 1680), Barbel (born April 29, 1683), Johannes (born December 20, 1685), my ancestor Werner II (born February 19, 1688), Niklaus Austin (born 1690), and Elisabeth (born March 17, 1692). Their children outlived both their parents, as Barbara died on February 26, 1708, and Werner Sr. died May 2, 1713, both of unspecified causes. That's it. That's my entire corpus of information about this man. I realize that's really unsatisfying and this blurb is really short, and I'm sorry to say the next one is gonna be similarly bereft of nitty gritty material to riff jokes off of, but I've got one last big rant to go on before I finish this little side project, so bear with me while I hiccup out a sheet for Hans, and then we'll wrap this up with one final ancestor.

Design notes, look at him. Look how deplorably generic this guy is. It sickens me. See guys, this is what happens when you don't make a mark on history. Your great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great granddaughter comes along and makes you out like the most bargain bin 17th century Swissman imaginable, then she writes a big run-on sentence posing as a paragraph since she feels obligated to critically comment on her artwork with every upload because she thinks she has to keep her ambitions in check lest an ego blossoms and turns her into something she doesn't want to become. Honestly grandpa, inconsiderate.
