The newest member of my tribe :3 This is MacKenzieee, my buddy Jacob's love interest and my new daughter. She's recently graduated to the status of Hoosier to forge a new life with her partner, and she's been nothing short of a lovely neighbor so far. It's just really nice having a gal pal around to dress up with, do our nails, and play with each other's hair. They robbed me of slumber parties like this my entire childhood and I'm getting my dose of girlie time now, godsdammit, and there's nothing they can do to stop me. Mwuhahahaha. Nah but seriously, I luv u girl <3 You always welcome in the Witch's den, you funny little monkey.
Design notes, so Jacob is very much rocking the chic of a Golden Age Dutchman, a look not uninfluenced by his ancestral hero, Dirck Storm, who immigrated to New Amsterdam in 1662 and went on to cofound Sleepy Hollow. This, and MacKenzie's adoration for lolita and monster girls, made the direction I wanted to go obvious. If Jacob is the frontiersman, then MacKenzie is his darling little pilgrim girl, strutting those Witch Hunt vibes. It's adorable and I'm extremely jealous, but they know that already. Lo and behold when I did a genealogy dive for her as I do with all my closest friends, MacKenzie's got that old colonial blood, like Virginia aristocracy sort of lineage. Fascinatingly though, despite being born and raised in Alabama, MacKenzie's only ancestor so far confirmed to be a veteran of the Civil War was a Union corporal, a Union corporal living in Missouri at the time no less, what a legend. And to boot, he was born in Indiana, no wonder he's badass. See sweetie, this state was in your blood all along, welcome home pumpkin
