Build: Court is a compact, dense-boned Cairn pony standing 12.2hh. He has a deep chest, a strong sloping shoulder, and a short, powerful back, with a lower-set croup that gives him real drive and jump for his size. His legs are short and thick with wide joints and tough hooves, carrying light feathering at the fetlocks, and his cannons are slightly long for his height, which gives his movement a balanced, fluid quality. His ears are small and sharp and constantly flicking, set above a soft nose and violet eyes. He has a thick, long mane and a long flowing tail. He is not stubborn so much as opinionated, a thinker who wants to understand the point of what he is being asked before he gives it his all. There is a deep, almost regal steadiness underneath the cheek that hints at the solid partner he will become.
Disposition and Behavior: Confident and into everything. Court investigates, tests, and problem-solves constantly, and he is quick to notice and exploit any inconsistency or hesitation in his handling. None of it is malicious; he is simply clever and young, and he treats unclear rules as an invitation to find the edges. He bonds hard and works to please the person he trusts, but he will quietly check out for anyone who is unsure or unfair with him. In a herd he settles easily and already shows the type's habit of inserting himself near unsettled horses, a small protective streak surfacing early.

At two he is too young for ridden work, so he is in the foundational stage: leading, standing, handling, picking up feet, and early groundwork and desensitizing. Trainer/Rider: Belphie. Belphie trains and rides Court, and the two are deeply bonded. Her warm, encouraging, motherly way with the ponies she works with is exactly what draws out a young Cairn who gives his whole heart to the person he trusts, and she leads him with quiet confidence rather than force. His quirks all stem from youth and a quick mind rather than any bad history.
