FS Dynamics SPAR LRAMS-3 Sniper Rifle — Description
Setting
------------------------------------------
FS Dynamics is well known for their manufacture of starship-mounted heavy artillery for the Coalition Navy. Recently, however, the company has made the decision to diversify into the small arms market. One of the first products that came from this program is the SPAR/LRAMS-3 Sniper Rifle. This rifle is currently in CAF service and is mainly supplied to individual recon and marksman teams. In this role it functions as a platform for precision strikes on enemy combatants, ammunition and supply dumps or for the takedown of light vehicles when used in conjunction with specialized rounds.

While the SPAR/LRAMS-3 is often used with its standard 5-round side-mounted box magazine, some special purpose rounds are individually supplied to marksmen when the mission profile calls for it. One such option is a guided airburst round, which was famously used during the Falsere crisis to eliminate enemy frontline command elements from a range of 7 kilometers.

The weapon features a comfortable, adjustable stock, a quick-change barrel (some rounds require specific barrel coatings) and ample railspace for accessories.
