BNHA Villain OC: 'Cipher' — Description
Heya! Still continuing to catch up with posts in 2019!

After showing you guys my most recent My Hero Academia Oc, Rachel actually won a little contest in the BNHA Amino. A contest which gets to have your ocs to appear in a fan manga.

And with that being said, I decided to expand more on her family. And this time, by posting her father first!

-Overview-
Ross Beau, also known by Criminal Alias ‘Cipher 80’, Is an American student from New York. A Highschool dropout, he lives as a roommate under one of his Gang member friends. The Criminal Organization. that he is affiliated with, has ties to an infamous, but Obscured powerful criminal. The Main Group, has various few smaller branches spread across The States. They are mostly known for dealing with Drugs and Weaponry.

Ross himself Is known to be a Lackey, or the 'Watch Boy' Of his branch, because he is the youngest member out of the entire Organization. He mostly serves to deliver messages, And is seemed to be greatly reliable among his group, because of how well his Quirk helps him to avoid the authorities.

-Appearance-
Ross possess Square, Blue-Violet irises, a Notable trait which later reveals to be passed down to his daughter as well. The only difference being, is that his eyes are heavily lidded and sharp. He has Cocoa-Brown hair, which the colour also ends up being inherited by his daughter. His hair is fashioned into a rough, tousled and choppy' fashion, parted in the middle. On the left side of his face, is where a small braid is tied up. He is also known to have a straight-toothed grin.

His signature usual outfit consists of a Simple Red tank top, mentioning a black Text logo written 'Critical Hit'. A dark grey jacket is worn with a green and white stripe on both sides of his sleeves, positioned in the upper arm area. Light blue, washed-out jeans and a black belt are worn under, coupled with Black ankle-length work-style boots.

-Personality-
Ross is seen to be posed as a stereotypical 'Bad Boy'. Rebellious at heart, he has a prominent habit of talking back and making unfiltered comments at the smallest of things, showing his will to defend himself. A 'Bark and Bite' type of personality, only if pushed.

He is sneaky and cunning, as a result of knowing full well just how capable and in-control his abilities are. Yet, he is also slightly brash. His toothed smile, is often commented as ‘Scheming

He always wanted to be a Pro Hero when he was younger. But threw the dream away, when his father would constantly push and force him to become a hero, so he could earn big money in the future ‘for the family. However due to his father’s concerning ways which he deems ‘Is the correct way’, Ross’s views upon being a hero began to sour. He soon began to hate the concept of becoming a Hero, and ended up completely rejecting it.

He is very skilled in avoiding authorities and escaping them. He knows how to trace the border between breaking the rules, but not breaking the law. This makes it hard for authorities to pin crimes on him so far. However, he was very street smart and intelligent. He was skilled with computers and programming, deviated from his hobby of using the Computers very often when he was at school.

-Abilities-

-Quirk-
Ross's Quirk, is called ‘Pixelate’. Just like his daughter, He could do almost everything she could. He could break his body down into square particles, sneak around, and form objects to fight. This also includes, glitching. Although he takes full advantage to this, using this ability to spook his enemies/opponents. This includes most of his moves being very similar to Rachel, as he was the one who would take up teaching her how to harness her abilities.

However, there is a catch. Unlike his daughter, He can’t create multiple colors at high resolution. He can only create red, green, blue and white. However, He used to be able to create many more as a Child.

This was mostly from the result of having to Endure the trauma and abuse of his Alcoholic father. His Quirk suffered long term permanent damages. Most of it reflected his mental state. Broken and full of errors.

-History-

Early Childhood

Ross was born in the downtown area of his city. Born from both Quirk Parents.

Ross's Home Life was not as forgiving as most children were lucky to have. At the young age of 5, was where he was beginning to experience the full witness of his Father's abusive ways. He would often hide away, as he was forced to watch his mother being scolded and struck by her husband. The abuse was soon lead to him, whenever Ross was caught.

His Elementary School life was not as harsh. Mostly this was because Ross was too young to fully understand that what he was going through, was not normal. Most of the students he had hung out with were quite friendly, so this also took Ross's mind away from home life as a distraction. Even though some teachers were wary, Most children dismissed the occasional Band-Aids that Ross would often arrive to school in.

It wasn't until when he would first reach his Freshman years, where rumours would begin to circulate among the school. Rumours from the growing students had gotten out, about Mr Beau's reputation. Although there was some mockery from few bullies to Ross, most students tend to stay away or leave him alone. They did not know how to befriend him. Although some did try, there was nothing much more they could do.

Some time afterwards, Mrs Beau had gained the courage to move out, away from her husband. However, most of the damage had been done. She had left her husband to give his Son a better life. However as much as Ross really did try to get by without a father figure, his influence from him left Ross struggling with coping with changes.

After a few years, Ross had dropped out of school some time after Junior year. He left, because of the rumours and the constant negative attention that was put on him. Even if people tried to help, his father's influence had already taken a toll on his mental state. He totally isolated himself from everyone else, to the point where he would even cut off contact from those who had tried to help him in the past. He felt so trapped within his neighbourhood, he desperately wanted to leave.

Ross Never looked out for a job. He became affiliated with delinquents from others schools. While his mother desperately tried to salvage her son's life and make it up for his rough childhood, Ross had already begun to grow distant, and pushing her away. He was tied between guilt of not being able to have done something to protect his mother when he was younger, to believing that there was no way he could ever recover.

Ross had later ran away from home, taking a few belongings and leaving his mother behind.
In his mind, he thought that she must have been fed up with him, and secretly lost all love for him. He might as well relieve her of burden.

Life After

As time progressed, Ross would later be involved with The Criminal Orginization after a series of events. At this point, he had actually begun to swear loyalty to the Organization, as he had met the boss himself. He believed that he cared for him, and saw him as the Father adult role model her never had. Deep down, Ross longed for a 'Normal Family'.

It was during his time as a member of the Criminal Organization, where most of his rebellious and scheming nature came to light.

He met Rachel’s Mother around 20. Arisu Nakamoto, had Graduated fresh from U.A High a year before, and went overseas in Chicago to study Hero Work abroad. Arisu, was actually involved in a case of attempting to take down Ross’s Boss.

When Ross was captured by Pro Heroes, he was interrogated for information. he was made an offer for him to use his skills to help them track a Villain. At first he refused, because of his his blind loyalty to his Boss and 'Brothers' However, his views were shattered once the Heroes revealed to him, that the Boss was a dangerous manipulator. He was a Quirk user, a former Psychiatrist who often played mind-Games to his advantage. And unfortunately, took advantage of this while fully aware of Ross's mental state.

It was when, Ross had suffered a complete mental breakdown. To calm him down and let him recover, He was then left in containment under watch by Pro-Heroes so that they could monitor him. However, they really tried working to earn Ross's trust, as they saw him as the key to defeating an infamous Villain.
He later got persuaded to when the heroes ensured him a good recommendation, so he could actually get hired at a workplace for his Quirk. It was the first time where someone had praised him for his skills in a more appropriate way, other than the greed for money and fame like his father instilled in him. He was also put to work with Arisu As they were about the same age, but She had more experience with Hero work.
At first, most of his colleagues working on the case were untrusting of him, as he never obtained his Hero License. He did manage to create arguments and banter among them too, as it was a long habit of his. But slowly with the help of Arisu, he took time to realize that the people he surrounded himself were not manipulating him anymore. He realized that Arisu had really cared for his Wellbeing, and was even patient towards him. Arisu at first was professional and wary of him at the start. But Ross's respect for her increased, when she had defened him one time against her fellow Co-Workers. While Ross awlays believed that there was no future with him, Arisu had extreme faith in him.
After the case was completed and the Criminal Boss was captured, Arisu was due to return to Japan again. However, Ross did not want her to leave, as he had ended up falling in love with her. Because she helped him. He promised that if she came back with him, He will change his life around. And in a place like America where crime rates are higher, she would get a very good pay. Especially since her family name is world wide known, it would be easier for her.
Because she had to return for something important, she had no choice. However, she promised that after a year, she will return. Permanently.

Arisu's Return

During the year of Arisu's absence, Ross began working hard. Because of official references and recommendations that the Heroes had put him out to other workplaces, he was able to get a job
He kept in touch with Arisu overseas. It was also when Arisu had introduced him to her father over Video Conference. He actually seemed to warm up to him more easily than he thought, as he was told by other Pro-Heroes of how much Ross has legitimately improved. Because Arisu had explained Ross's entire life story to her own Father, Mr Nakamoto was also proud of his daughter for giving Ross a hope and a feeling of self worth to strive to be better.
He meets her again when she returns with her family for a Business trio to America. But it was also the first step for her to finally leave her parents. Arisu was able to settle in her new home, as she moved in with Ross as a Room mate.
After a long while of dating and having a steady relationship, Ross ended up proposing to Arisu. While he had invited most of his former Co-Workers on the Criminal Case, he was suddenly hit with memories of his mother. Having felt guilt of leaving her, he had sought out to find her. He decided that he was going to return back to his home town to find her. He was going to go alone, But Arisu convinced him that she wanted to come along too.

Upon arrival, he met familar faces. Chatting and catching up with those he knew, and apologizing to those who he had cut out from his life. He was able to invite most of those people to his upcoming Wedding. When Ross had finally found his mother, it turned out that she has been Re-Married. His mother was ecstatic and in tears over her reunion, while his Step-Father was very kind and understanding. Ross in turn, had actually grown respect for his Step-Father, when he heard that he tried to help his Mother to gain her self worth and confidence back, enough to have divorced her First Husband. She was more than grateful, to be invited to her son's wedding.

After the Wedding, was when Arisu was pregnant about a Month later to Rachel.

-Trivia-
• Cipher, is another word for ‘Code’. His full Criminal Name, is reference to a Window’s BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) Error.

•  The Error is specifically ‘NMI_HARDWARE_FAILURE [Error Code 0x00000080]’ This is an Error that can pop up when playing a game, and the entire system would suffer a sudden crash.

•  His real name, Ross.G.Beau, is a word play on the abbreviations ‘RGB’. It is a reference to the three colours that appear in pixel displays. However, his name can be interpreted in a different way. The ‘G’ part, actually stands for ‘Gold’. If his name is said in full, it would become ‘Ross.Gold.Beau’

• ‘Gold.Beau’ sounds similar to ‘Goldberg’. This is a possible reference to an individual, Adele Goldberg. Goldberg, was the first person to partake in the development and publishing of the term “Pixel Art”.

• According to the artwork. 'Princess' Was a nicknamethat he used to call Arisu to mock her.
