Magical Research In The Library — Description
I like the colorful, contrasting elements of the dark background, bright rim light, and glowing elements.
It's been a while since I threw this much fantasy bloom into an image, I know it's overused but still I specifically liked how here it emphasized the feeling of power / energy.

Created using DazStudio 4.9 + Iray, Photoshop + Topaz Adjust.
Finally turned my attention to the Mystic Spells product from DAZ, it's quite impressive.
The camera/light/pose setup was a long exercise in trial-and-error, but in the end I finally got a good angle on the character face and props.
The entire scene blew out graphics card memory as usual, once again turned to the Scene Optimizer product for help.
I reduced many 4096X4096 maps in Mystic Spells down to 1024X1024... although interestingly for the first time I had to undo the reduction for the back wall prop.
(The wall pattern turned out too grainy at the lower resolution.)
