Description
19. Ridge
Diary of Sean "Kappy" Seamus cont.
Unsettling finding today. When the truck didn't return by morning I organized a search party and we set off at first light. Not long after cresting the first leg of the trip up to the highlands Gerald caught a glimpse of a flash on the ridge line above us. We made our way there and found the truck more or less intact though stuck with one wheel hanging over the precipice. However, there was no sign of Mortimer, not a trace, and no indication as to where he'd gone. After securing the truck and gathering it's load we fanned out to see if we could find him. When several hours of searching yielded no trace we were forced to head back down the ridge as we were losing the light. Poor devil probably wrecked and got out to walk and had a misstep on that damned ridge.
