Description Drawn this holiday, in New Year's night. Having fun...
I used the Staedtler triplus fineliner 0.3, color black, which ran dry after a few minutes of work. So I filled it with some black ink I had at home. It worked just fine.
It took me about 3 hours of work.
It was inspired by some illustrations for an almost gothic tale called "Fat Frumos din lacrima" [translated somehow like "Prince Charming from tear"(meaning born from tears...)...hard to adapt it...] written by Mihai Eminescu, a great poet of Romania.
The subject in this deviation would be Prince Charming's father...

Amazing work! His expression, the eyes that decorate his gown and scepter, his hand...

It reminds me of the Hall of the Mountain king... it is the sort of imagery I would have when listening to it. Either Grieg or Savatage... works for both :) (Smile). You should think of a context for it... it looks like floating about in the page.

I thought about that too, but I didn't have the mood and the inspiration to deal with a decorum too... maybe some other time...
Mersi pt comment :) (Smile)

poti sa incerci ideea de cheerful in sensul de madly cheerful... histerically cheerful. not all cheerful is good and not all dreary is bad... from a certain point of view.

Heart

Superb desen, am ce invata din el... *starts staring and observing*
