Vega Model WIP Preview — Description
Quick preview screenshots of the WIP Vega model in Blender/Eevee, T-posing to assert maximum dominance.

This model actually started as a bit of a training exercise back in the summer when I was practicing sculpting. The initial low poly sculpt actually came out rather nice, so I approached Artica about taking a shot at making her for SFM, and checked in with to see if he would be OK with me using his fox pack models as a base body.

After getting the all clear, I decided to make this project a baseline for how I'll be developing SFM characters for a while. Long story short; SFM is a torturous program to develop characters for, so I really need a base body locked down with the baseline flexes and rigging I prefer in order to keep the production process manageable.

This was also my first proper attempt at a full on sculpt>retopo workflow, unlike the last few projects which were based on borrowed and modified geometry. So production has been veeerry slow in order to give myself time to practice and internalize the workflow. Retopo in particular took a very long time to get right, though I'm happy to say I'm feeling much more comfortable modeling in Blender as a result.

Because the Fox Pack is currently a Patreon only model, and because Warfare is planning on making some adjustments before the public release, I'm going to have to hold off on releasing Vega until closer to the end of the year. There are some tweaks I need to make to the base body that I'd like to avoid having to redo when he makes his adjustments. After that, future models should go much, MUCH more smoothly.

Still have lots to do in the meantime! Don't have any face flexes locked in aside from the 2 or 3 I made for the last poster, so the next month or so will be focused on developing those. And I've still got plans for some of the other gals in the roster, so there's always something to work on.
