Description
As you know, I love mythology so I decided to create my own pantheon of gods, which is something I've thought about for quite some time. So I wrote down all of the most important god archetypes and I combined the ones that make the most sense. I also tried to create myths that would correlate to natural phenomena in our world that ancient people would have used to explain these occurrences like any other myth.

Before there was everything, there was nothing. After millennia of stagnation, the Void begun to stir and Order & Chaos were created. The two beings spent many millions of years together but they grew lonely so in an act of love, they decided to create children using their own essences. From this union, the first 5 gods were created. Because they had to use part of themselves to create these Gods, Order & Choas now existed within these Gods. These first 5 were later named The Golden Age Gods and appeared the least human. They used their immense gifts to create the earth and the universe. Soon, Gods began to pair off and the next generation were made. This generation, named The Silver Age Gods, were more human in appearance as by this point humanity had been created. They lived to help humanity grow and flourish. Many of these gods fell in love with humans and created the final generation of gods. These Bronze Age Gods looked entirely human and spent much of their lives among the humans, fighting in wars, counseling kings, and enlightening humans to the worship of their ancestors.

For the Silver Age Gods, they look almost entirely human but may have distinctly god-like properties such as extra limbs, a distorted face, or any other mutation which marks them as definitively not human. Many take on the properties of their elements and personify them as well as control them but in a less encompassing way than those of the first generation. Gen 2 gods also lack a distinctly human face but may retain human features such as an eye or mouth with the remaining bearing the same masklike structure. Most can speak mentally but those with mouth can also speak verbally. These gods also stand slightly taller than those of humanity with Ohta & Ista (the tallest) standing at 7’8” and Olore (the shortest) at 7’2”. The Gods all live in one of the 5 realms, Valamarda. The others are The Human Realm, Malinalda (The Realm of the Tree of Life), the Everlasting Night (The Realm of Dreams and Death), and The Mists (The Realm of Punishment).

As humans, they are all incredibly beautiful and all have very pointed ears and glowing, colored auras. Gods are immortal and can only experience death by the hands of another god. If they do not feed from the Tree of Immortality, they will slowly grow old and turn to stone but will still be aware and alive. This is true of all gods, and each generation ages more quickly with Gen 1 aging very slowly and Gen 3 aging much quicker. Gen 2 gods have vessels on Earth that they must possess in order to appear on earth. These vessels are unaware that they are vessels and even when possessed will not remember the time while they were possessed. The vessels also always look the same from life to life which is unique as a soul changes bodies and appearance when being reincarnated. Gods can appear on Earth but the sight of their true form would drive a human mad, and burn them to nothingness. When this happens their souls are destroyed and will never reincarnate. Unlike with Gen 1 Gods, they will not be destroyed physically but their minds will be melted away.

Personality- As the god of wisdom, Ista is exceptionally brilliant, quick-witted, and disciplined. He always takes precautions before acting and is the type of person who disapproved of taking considerable risks. He has a sense of fairness and justice that even his own lover isn't exempt from but could be helpful, sympathetic, and kind to even those who have initially offended him. As mentioned before, Ista, like his brother, is very calm, calculated, and analytical. He is very honest even if it means hurting someone’s feelings. But he is also quite cocky and arrogant, believing he cannot be wrong. It is this pride which makes it difficult for him to admit in the rare occasions when he is wrong and will instead choose to punish the one who has made him look foolish. Ista comes off as unemotional and only sees life in black and white, facts and figures. Also like Ohta, he is very strategic, treating people more like pawns. He cherishes his brother’s counsel and is quite close with Olore, despite finding her to be a bit ridiculous and dreamy. Ista as a rational thinker, doesn’t have much need for emotion. He doesn’t feel the same way others do. He appears to love his brother Ohta though, but why is a mystery to many, as well as the love he shares for his lover Meleth. It is because Meleth is a mystery to Ista. Meleth is an odd man who isn’t ruled by logic and seemingly does things randomly. This randomness intrigues Ista and is why he loves Meleth. Aside from Ohta, Ista is very close to Nestad. They both have very critical minds and can stay up for days discussing theories and ideas.

Notes-
• Ista is Ohta’s younger twin brother. Although Ohta and Ista are known as twin gods, they are actually the same person. They were born as a single boy but split into 2 different boys.
• They were created when their father Calavente tried to cure his brother with a spell made from Ista involving an orange. The poisonous seeds Calavente took from the orange, he threw to the sea. These seeds took root and became an island with a giant tree in its center. Within the trunk of the tree was a hollow and inside this hollow was a baby boy. When Calavente kissed his son on the forehead, the boy split in half and became two children- Ohta and Ista.
• Because of their odd birth, Ohta and Ista are seen as a children of all of the Golden Age Gods (with the exception of Meleth) as they were made with a spell which contained Isil’s magick and Calavente’s blood. The seeds they came from were thrown into the sea (Airen) but turned into an island with a tree (Ambar).
• Ista can be seen as a mixture of Airen and Isil’s power so this half is usually more associated with these two.
• Ista is attached to Meleth in their male form. They have what can be an open relationship as Meleth is very virile and promiscuous while Ista, although occasionally engaging in sex, prefers the company of his books. Ista has been theorized as actually being Asexual as he is in love with Meleth but doesn’t necessarily want to have sex with them.
• Modern theologians have also theorized that Ohta and Ista are not the culmination of the gods but are actually the reincarnated forms of the Golden Age gods “parents”, Order and Chaos with Ohta being the reincarnation of Chaos and Ista being the reincarnation of Order.
• There are not many great tales about Ista as he spend most of his days in his great library of the worlds knowledge from which he never leaves. He is assisted by his librarians, The Tenna. These white, winged, owl-faced monkeys are both beautiful and highly intelligent and are the only ones Ista trusts with his vast knowledge.
• He’s always seen wearing a ring his brother made for him and many theorize this to be his Divine Weapon but seeing as Ista abhors violence, it is unknown whether this is a weapon or just a ring.
• As a human, Ista is a thin but attractive man with straight shoulder length black hair he wears pushed away from his face. He has tan skin, blue eyes, and full lips.
• He can usually be seen wearing a suit or formal clothing. He also keeps a book on him at all times and wears glasses, despite not needing them.
• In modern times, Ista is also known as the god of Technology, Internet, Computers, and Machinery
• Ista is a minor war and death deity as war can be seen as a form of justice and although Ista is mores the god of social and legal justice, war and death play a role in this.
• Idols of Ista can be found in schools, libraries, and courthouses.
