I realize the media is (or was) saturated by the let down of Duke Nukem Forever. A game that was hyped so hard over its period of development it could never have met expectation -- even if it had been amazing.Duke Nukem Forever is one of those rare titles that I would have prefered stay eternal vaporware. It meant more to me as a legend than it did a product I would ever go out and buy.

oh what the fuck!!!?i have dn forever and it is possibly the best game of all time.normally i wouldn't care about petty crap like this,but come on!duke deserves to be remembered,but not buried!he is an ass-kicking,lady getting,bubble gum chewing enigma who shows up to destroy aliens,then goes home.if you want to give him a burial fine,that's your problem.my problem?is that i'm here to kick ass and chew bubble gum.and i'm all out of bubble gum.this duke fan,will never let duke slip away.

Hey, Duke ain't dead yet. Gearbox is in complete control of the franchise. The mistakes belong to 3D Realms alone. Gearbox'll be doing the next game from scratch, hopefully including a new engine and no 14-year development time.

My only beef with all of this is that apparently if you are a reviewer, fans will hate you for disliking the game because 'you don't get the humor' or you are 'a guy used to Call of Duty games'. Even if you have legitimate reasons for not liking the game, for some reason they will hate you for not liking it.
Yeah, probably best if it remained vaporware.

I heard the developers are planing on making a new game, But I'm not sure if gearbox will be the ones doing it.
