Boghouse — Description
I'm really proud I did it until New Year's party. Well, there is some stuff to polish and correct, but that's ok to show it already.
«In a village closest to the moors I found but five or six families - bearded hunters and their quiet, almost dumb wives and children. They who have got nowhere to go. I was told that any local can give me a direction just by looking at the symbol. The one I’ve found on my father’s maps, in his journal – it was even sewn on his caftan. Well, they showed. And then I almost got beaten with their sticks.
At a sixth or seventh day, at dusk, I wandered to a small camp. Hunters but not local – these were soaked with moisture too, but much better equipped. I showed them a paper with the symbol too, being not very hopeful about any luck.
“Yes, I know the place”, - one of them said.
“It’s on a bog’s side. We’ve been hunting musk-rats there and saw trees with these markings.”
“And is there anything else?”
“Hm. In the middle of a swamp there stands an old wooden shack. We saw lights there, saw the boat moving off from a ramshackle berth, I swear. There’s no other way to get there if not by water.”
“Locals seem to dislike even talking about the place.”
“So do we.”
And I wasn’t allowed to rest by their bonfire.»
