Yes! Both make up the whole that is this weird alien/space demon thing.
And I imagine that if we see them separated, that's just their weird camouflage working on poor human minds. Not many people seem to question the one eyed cat thing for example.. And if it's not camouflage, it's hypnotism or refracted light. Weird alien tech for sure.
