Tina Melendez never had an easy life. Her mother was a single mom in Spanish Harlem raising a little girl on her own. Darker than most of the children because of her father's ethnic backround she was picked on a lot at school and was for the most part known as "Nappy" Melendez. Her mom knew how hard it was for her child and took a second job so Tina could attend a gymnastic classes after her daughter's gym teacher spoke of Tina's natural gift.

A car accident at 15, kept her out of the Olympics, but did not deter Tina's dream, after her recovery she trained harder and at 19 had all but earned her seat on the Olympic team. Then her father came back in her life along with a huge amount of debt.

Tina had a choice; do poorly at an exhibition in order to settle her father's debt with the mob or do what she was born to do. It was her mother who told her to do excell and Tina did.

That night when she returned home she opened the door to find her mother's lifeless body and her 17 year old sister missing. Her father was nowhere to be found. Tina passed on her olympic dreams for revenge and if she can't find her father, she'll find those like him, hoping to find her sister.

It's been two years and Tina is no closer to her goals as he was that night she found her mother's dead body.
