Affliction — Description

We live in a profoundly sick society, where our societal system is corrupted and controlled via attention-grabbing algorithms. They move our culture backward (e.g., social media algorithms promote cultural homogeneity and extreme views).
Those were my thoughts as I painted this. I tried to depict illness, such as plague or anthrax. This piece represents a move back toward my comfort zone (monster portrait, biomech etc.), although I tried to go for a color palette that I would usually skip in favor of a dark green or blue theme.
