Goat willow (Salix caprea) catkins, still not fully developed, waiting for the frost and snow to go away, so they could blossom out fully when Spring finally comes. We had a lot of snow yesterday, as well as a frosty night, but the fuzz of the catkins protects them from the cold. Also, this is one of those goat willows, which is a smaller tree, rather than a bush (the main trunk is in the background, on the left).
