M61B 'Theseus' — Description

By A.D. 2237, M61Bs are by far the oldest MBTs that are still in service of Mahanakorn People's Army aging over whopping 300 years old. Perhaps they are also the oldest, still operational, combat-capable MBTs out of entire planet in the 23rd Century as well.

Initially bought during 1970s from by-then United States by Thailand, M60 tanks were a formidable workhorse of the nation for decades to come. After the rise of Glorious Government Coalition along with the aging condition of the tanks in A.D. 2055, M60 were by-then phased out as the last US tanks to be bought by Thailand as GGC opted to bypass embargo by purchasing Russian and Chinese MBTs instead. The reason was cited from that which western powers refused to sell weapons to a dictator country.
After the civil war and the subsequent collapse of GGC in A.D. 2100 at the hand of Mahanakorn revolution army, the newly-transformed Thailand (which was to become known as Mahanakorn afterward) found itself unable to purchase tanks from US - United States itself was on the verge of nuclear war with China and Russia, which would soon eventually resulted in the reformation of United Nations into UniEarth a few months afterward. Having found their supposed ally too busy to even considering a deal, Mahanakorn opted to mobilize all of their tanks into fighting condition - broken or not. As such, rusted fleets of M60 were among the first to get retrofitted using scavenged GGC technology.
Having been honored as the 'longest tanks in service', M60s would continue to receive endless upgrade packages and overhauls throughout its entire lifespan and passed countless designations and iterations to keep up with modern warfare. The latest designation for the upgraded M60s in A.D. 2237 was M61 'Theseus' with B-Variant modification, which came with advanced NERA and ERA packages, along with laser-powered APS system and AI-powered FCS system linked to 140mm. Mass Driver-Combustion Hybrid Cannon System. The prior engine also has been replaced with TRISTAR-1800 capable of producing over 1,800 horsepower and top speed of 100km/h.
Aptly named, crews liked to call the tanks 'Theseus' due to the revolving questions around whether or not the original metal frames of M60 series are still inside the tank, or had already been long replaced. Even then, who cares? It is still a... M60, speaking so. Or M61 in this case.
There are extremely limited numbers of M61B in service of Mahanakorn People's Army thanks to it simply being an upgraded version of the limited produced tanks, with total number merely just 100 tanks in existence.
Strangely, only elite tankers are allowed to get the honor of servicing in these tanks due to its nature of limited active numbers.
