Across Crossovers #735 - Nova versus GL Kyle Rayner - "Over-Ruled!"
"Kyle Rayner is stepping up to the plate against Nova, in hopes of stopping his path of vengeance. But it seems like these two powerhouses are not giving up without a fight. Will Kyle Rayner think of a creative way to save the day?" (R3D96 )

Hah! Did you think we would just stick with the RETRO CLASSIC version of Nova and the Green Lanterns meeting? We have more!
Nova is a character that I believe has improved a lot over the years. Especially in his 2007 phase, where he presented the uniform that I most appreciate!
Among the many Green Lanterns in our sector 2804, I believe the best relationship dynamic would be with Kyle Rayner while still a Green Lantern (before he became Ion, Parallax, Torch Bearer, White Lantern, Green Man or Omega Lantern - pfff!) ! I imagine the mature Richard Ryder would see a lot of his own impulses as a fledgling in early-career Rayner... which could end up serving as the foundation for a very conflicted relationship before becoming one of the most enduring friendships in comics! I would love to see this explored in a story with the two of them!
Rayner appeared in Green Lantern (Vol. 3) #48 in 1994, created by Ron Marz and Darryl Banks due to the unpopularity of DC's Green Lantern title. He was a refresher to the title, but not far, Hal Jordan would return to his post and Rayner would end up being tossed around in the coming Green Lantern stories! I confess that I don't even know how to say the current status of the character even more in the face of so many resets and retcons from DC!
