Description I am currently writing the riffs for the 2018 Bones in the Hydraulic Press album; "Headcrush". The lyrics were finished a few months back.

Unlike the obnoxious abomination the Debut EP was, Headcrush will feature lower quality guitar and vocals, and maybe with some sampled drums in there too. The Debut EP was me trying to make the performance sound clearly loud and raw... but it went the wrong way, instead you can hear every mistake, every strum and every pluck of the strings.

I am using my new Ibanez to do the job, with heavily used month old strings. The sound of this album should hopefully be less noisy, less garbage, more rehearsed, and more... "musical", if you can honestly call Bones in the Hydraulic Press musical in any way that is. The Peavey RAGE 158 Transtube Series will not have any settings changed.

I'm hoping to use another microphone for recording, because as we all know, the Debut EP was bad enough as it was before the microphone kept having issues. The quality may go down a bit, but if that's the case, hopefully there's no skipping this time around. The original plan was to mix the vocals and guitar track to be low quality while sample drums are laid out over it. I will do my best to make this an amazing record no matter what.

Here's the official tracklist for now, some things may or may not change in the future:

01. Better Than Ever
02. Suffer In Silence
03. Headcrush
04. Mutilation Of The Dead
05. Dead Alive
06. The Bleeding Ones
07. Mercy Of The Machine
08. Fuck Your Damn God
09. Hooves Of Death
10. Hydraulic Nightmare
11. Torn Apart And Redone [instrumental]
12. Beware Of The Hydraulic Press

Some track information:

01. Better Than Ever:
Starts off where the Debut EP ended,  but it's up to you whether or not it's the same guy as before, or a man from an institution, the warehouse is undergoing some upgrading, the old 200 ton hydraulic press got scrapped, and it got replaced with a brand new 500 ton press. The friends of the insane man also bought him some new "toys" for the warehouse. It's better than ever! The new story has begun.

05. Dead Alive:
This song is about Dead from Mayhem, and the shit that happened just before, and right after he died. Such as; Euronymous pushing him to kill himself, Euronymous taking pictures of the body, and Euronymous not destroying the photos. "Is Dead alive? No, but I do have pictures.".

*10. Hydraulic Nightmare:
Online there is a brutal video of a man in a factory getting his head crushed by a horizontal-sliding hydraulic press, killing him instantly. The song Hydraulic Nightmare is based on that event. As the song states, "It's the one thing you don't want, it's the one thing you don't need. It's something that'll make your hair stand, and make your stomach bleed.". And then the song ends with the line; "It's the one thing they'll never want, it's the one thing they'll never need. It's something that'll delay them further, another body to clear - another man to hire.". Obviously stating apart from a fellow co-worker (who left after he realized the man was dead), no-one was there to help OR prevent the issue.

11. Torn Apart And Redone
The first BitHP instrumental. Due to the bridge system my guitar has, I can put a slip-tremolo (tremolo bar without the screw-in feature) in and force it all the way down, until plucking the strings sounds like an out-of-tune bass with the strings hitting the pickups. If the strings are plucked correctly, and the bar is all the way down, the resulting sound is that I like to call "the hydraulic press motor".

12. Beware of the Hydraulic Press
Fictional story. A young kid, about 18 or so, comes into the warehouse to use the 500 ton press, he has a YouTube channel that has only 35 subs. He has no idea of what to do, so he gets spare parts and such and crushes them, then he messes with the "pressing capabilities system" and the press is overworking itself, then he messes with the motor so it can handle the large amounts of stress. Instead of a mighty crushing nightmare machine, the press breaks. There's no spare parts because he crushed them all, the owner of the warehouse pulls the young man over to a 10 ton press and crushes his head before throwing the body in the trash. The song makes a reference to The Crusher  who is the only YouTuber known to have a 500 ton press.

*Do not look for that video unless you are at least 18+, it'll send a chill down your spine, and watching it will fuck with you if you're sensitive to these things.
