I did get it from ookami.

I still occasionally create some gfx work, but not as often as I used to. When DV died I never found another forum to hone my skills on, and wound up spending a lot of time here on deviantART and working on my writing instead. Oh okay, good... so Andi told you... Still get some CnC from him from time to time, and I try to comment on his work sometimes as wel if I see something... ^^

Not that active on DA alot of times though.. I used to go to other gfx sites, but the one I called 'home' for me wil always be DV, it was the only place I felt I belonged, or wel I just dont feel at home at the others as much, alot of places got annoying people, or people all of a sudden acting weird and such.

Got kicked out of staff on a site because I was honoust when I didnt aggree on things and although I helped as much as I could, my GF also helping, in the end it wasnt appreciated... so I left.

Where gonne start a new site with someone else, but he decided to quite on us, so it didnt even get to start up in the end.

Still doing gfx though, and I post it on an anime site I got some buddies on, and on here, but yeah, not as active as I used to be.

Good to know you still doing some writing and stuff also, I always thought that was more your thing, with your text/fonting style tags and such... ^^

And nah, thanks, but I only use Ps still, thinking of trying other programs, but idk... just not the time or the computer to do it on lets say.

Sorry for the long life story, but definitely good to hear from you.

How are things in real life if I may ask? Got a relation or anything else new in your life?

Yah, DV always felt like home to me too.

Things in real life are on and off, I'm finally going to college but I'm not doing too well in my classes. That's the short version, I don't really like talking about myself too much, haha. If you ever do find a gfx site that is near as good as DV was, let me know, and I'll join. I may not make stuff too often, but I haven't lost any of the knowledge I've learned and would be glad to be there.

yeah, shame things had to go the way they went, but oh wel, couldnt be helped, Sentrax got busy irl, and that happens to any/all of us at some point I think.

Ah right, wel its fine, no worries, I dont like that to much either, though I do talk alot I guess, as you do know.. xD

I am happy to have a GF since almost a year now... so yeah, things going fairly wel on my side.

Sorry to hear college isnt going to wel budd, hope you pass though and things go better from here on out.

About other GFX sites, wel idk, been to quite a few, still nothing came close to DV for me, I wouldnt know any to realy recommend either, if I do think of something then I wil let you know.

Maybe Andi knows some sites that might be good, idk, he was on some I was on I asked him to join, but those wherent as good as I expected, so yeah, felt a bit ashamed to even ask him to join in the end.

For other stuff, maybe try Eddy Pochy, the supposed best smudger on DA, though I think that depends on what you like in a smudge... he is realy good none the less... ^^

For other tuts, no clue what to say where to look, I know on youtube there are some vids that are fairly good, but they are realy hard to find... (alot of smudge tuts arent even actual smudge tuts there...)

Oh and I dont mind helping a bit with smudge either, have been doing it on and off for quite some time... ^^

And yeah, that is kinda what I also do, I like to keep everything replied in a way lets say, idk how to say it, but I think its a shame if you lose something you where talking about somewhere along the line lets say...

its not hard.. we can pass it back 4-6xs

basically.. u do 2-4 layers.. i come in do another 2-4 and repeat a fwe times.. but we label our layers.. and we can switch up our layers under/over the other ones to see what fits better in our oponions.. then afterwards we can show the steps proces on a banner thing kinda like my collabs with DR xD

Yeah, sounds like a plan, my works tend to be ALOT of layers though... I mean, some even over 100 easily.... ^^

But yeah, for smudge it should be fine, think I make most of my smudges in only a few layers... (though I copy them alot, so when I mess up I can go back to the copied layer)

So yeah, lets do this.... when you want that is, not sure who would start, I dont mind either way... ^^

Think it depends on the piece though....

Oh yeah, safety nets are handy, so you can always go back...

Take your time, no rushing, I might not have time in a week from now though, just so you know, my GF wil come here next saturday most likely, so wil have less time, though I might still have some time for it, from time to time if we do it then... 

But if it would be possible to start this before then, then that would be advise-able lets say, or we do it after the time I was with my Gf.. though I wil most likely go with her to her place after she was at mine lets say...

And I have even less time when I am there, specialy cause I dont like using the PS she uses... CS6, I am used to CS2, wich I have on my computer, but she doesnt use on hers.... ^^

yea depends, more layers doesnt always mean better looking tho, sometimes the less=the cleaner.. long as thw whole compilation is good we good,

oh yeah i understand no doubt, im busy next weekend as well.. needa go out of state for my sister's wedding so we're in the same boat xD,

That might be true, but alot of layers also means alot more work most of the times, and clean is sometimes better, but I do like coplex more then simple.. thus the many layers...

And okay, wel good, guess we both gonne be busy then...

And ehmm, not entirely sure I think, CS5 had some colour issues for me, while CS2 doesnt, so yeah, idk realy what that was about, but all my work from CS5 looked way to dark everywhere else compared to what it looked on Photoshop... while on CS2 I havent had such issues....

I did have some issues with my older pieces being to light, but that is mostly due to my screen not having been calibrated right, and having been to dark in comparison to what it should be.... I fixed that now though, or I keep fixing it every time it does mess up again....

But we wil see when we can do the collab then I am sure...
